| A once-in-a-lifetime trip. Torres del Paine | A Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip
Early summer in Torres del Paine is a continuous scroll of picturesque scenery.
The first stop of our Thanksgiving holiday in Patagonia was Puerto Natales, from where we headed straight to Torres del Paine National Park on the Chilean side. For the next two days, we were lucky enough to experience perfect weather, a rarity that occurs only a few times a year. At this "end of the world," famous for its strong winds, heavy rain, and unpredictable weather, we witnessed clear blue skies, white clouds, and stunning sunsets.
Torres del Paine's appearance on the cover of Lonely Planet is definitely well-deserved. It's safe to say that this place fulfills all my fantasies about landscape photography. The rugged terrain, the accessible snow-capped mountains and grasslands, and the winding rivers create endless possibilities. Every casual shot, every pause by the roadside, captures unimaginable beauty.
The roads inside the park are quite challenging, so drive with caution.
Recommended Spots:
Cover Photo: The hillside and boardwalk north of Explora Hotel offer excellent spots for both portraits and landscapes. We captured the main peaks before sunset.
Swiss-style lake and red house: The small hill east of Hosteria Pehoe.
Winding river and Paine Grande: Mirador Rio Serrano, located outside the park, is a great spot for flying drones.
Sunrise on Los Cuernos: Mirador Base Las Torres requires a night hike, a 24 km round trip from Hotel Las Torres.
