Chengdu Tanghu Park | The best viewing period for crabapple blossoms is about to begin!

The crabapple blossoms in Tanghu Park are a must-photograph in Chengdu's spring scenery. You can admire the rosy red flowers tilted upwards on the branches alone, or admire them in large numbers, gathering into patches of red clouds. Spring is the most beautiful season in Tanghu Park.

The picture was taken on February 23. The crabapple trees are 70% in bloom overall and are expected to be at their best viewing stage this weekend.

📸Photography tips
❶Photography route: North Gate of Tanghu Park → Renhe Bridge → Begonia Garden → Kopi Luwak → Performing Arts Plaza → Chunbo Bridge → Zhuli Pavilion → Wanxia Pavilion → Fenghuang Pavilion → Wenjin Bridge → Huangfo Ferry → North Gate 1. This way you can take pictures of the crabapples and basically visit the entire park.
❷There are dense crabapple trees next to the Phoenix Pavilion. Wanxiaxie and Huangfodu are the best places for taking photos, where you can see the reflections of the crabapple trees and the pavilion (Figure 9). When I went to take photos, it was not yet the best viewing period, but you can take photos in a few days.
❸Beside the civet coffee there are many lush crabapple trees, which are the largest and densest in the entire park (Figure 1). The flowers are not very tall, making them suitable for taking portraits.
❹Go straight after entering the north gate. The plum blossoms behind are in full bloom and very beautiful (Picture 14). When I went there on February 23, they were 20% in bloom. The weeping crabapple tree at the north gate has not bloomed yet, so we may have to wait a bit.
