The warmth of life, a hundred flavors of Chengdu. Who wouldn't cherish each simple meal?

During my weekend stay, I visited this three-time Black Pearl Restaurant Guide awardee—Lotus Chinese Restaurant on the fifth floor of Chengdu Marriott Hotel Financial Center.

The restaurant's decor is exceptionally stylish, featuring abundant wooden and ceramic art elements. The designs of screens and birdcages, along with bamboo and ginkgo motifs, cleverly incorporate local Chengdu touches, creating a vibe of old Chengdu's natural ease and comfort.

✅ Thai-Style Kale with Arctic Sweet Shrimp
Today's mood is just like this dish—colorful and vibrant! Crispy kale paired with sweet Arctic shrimp, drizzled with rich, tangy Thai sauce, offers layered textures that are refreshing and appetizing.

✅ Crispy Glass-Skin Pigeon
Having tried pigeon at many places, this one stands out as top-tier. The crispy, glass-like skin gives way to juicy, tender meat—one bite releases a burst of flavors that linger. My kid devoured two servings! Highly recommended must-order. 👍💯

✅ Homestyle Soft-Braised Big Crucian Carp
The dish is rich with huoxiang (agastache) aroma, and the fish is incredibly fresh. The seasoning is just right—if the sauce were poured over rice, I could easily down three bowls!

✅ Stir-Fried Asparagus
A light and refreshing dish with excellent texture. Surprisingly, even such thick asparagus spears were tender and flavorful.

A restaurant that showcases ingredient freshness and culinary delight through simple cooking, with consistent quality and reasonable prices, undoubtedly deserves its repeated Black Pearl recognition.
