Wuhou Temple in Sichuan | A Millennium-Old Sacred Site of Three Kingdoms Memories and Loyalty
If you're in Chengdu and want to trace the pulse of Three Kingdoms history, the Wuhou Temple is the ultimate destination. Here, Zhuge Liang, known for his dedication to the cause, is enshrined. It also bears witness to the rise and fall of Liu Bei and the Shu Han officials.
Entering the main gate, towering ancient trees, red walls, and green tiles create a solemn and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Stone tablets flank the corridor, recording the praises of Zhuge Liang by generations of scholars, each word revealing their admiration for this wise man.
Entering the main hall, Zhuge Liang's golden statue sits upright, clutching a feather fan, his expression composed, as if he were still strategizing the fate of the world. Nearby, the Liu Bei Hall and statues of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei vividly bring the story of the Three Kingdoms brotherhood to life.
