Huanglongxi Starbucks Seasonal Cake | Pink snow falling on the plate like flower rain, a taste of spring in a corner of the ancient street

The white base resembles unmelted winter snow, while the top layer, covered in a soft pink icing, resembles a shower of flowers on a spring day. The delicate petals of chocolate scattered here and there evoke the vibrant colors of wooden prayer plaques and the century-old banyan tree at the entrance of the ancient town, gently shedding its new buds in the spring breeze.

Sitting in a cafe, with the bluestone paving of the ancient town outside the window, I experience this sweet little ritual. It reminds me that walking doesn't always have to be in a temple; one can also experience the changing seasons and a peaceful state of mind through a bite of dessert.
