Paying respects at the famous Daci Temple in Chengdu

On a Tuesday afternoon at 3 PM, I arrived at the temple just as the rain began to fall, as if offering blessings. Daci Temple, an ancient Mahayana Buddhist temple, is renowned and located in the heart of Chengdu. With a history spanning over 1,600 years, it is a site of great historical significance. The temple is known for being a place where the famous monk Xuanzang once resided. One of the highlights of visiting this temple is to pay respects and pray for success, fulfillment, happiness, prosperity, health, and longevity.

How to get there: Daci Temple is situated between the IFS building and Taikoo Li, just a 5-minute walk from Chunxi Road.

Opening hours: Open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
