Tai Thun Baan is a popular breakfast restaurant in Chiang Mai that everyone should know about. The restaurant is a converted old house, retaining its original charm and decorated beautifully to give a warm, homely feel as if you're having breakfast at home. The breakfast menu includes congee, croissant with pan-fried eggs, bread, ham, sausages, and a variety of sweet and savory dishes. Free hot tea is served, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended dishes are the croissant omelet and pan-fried eggs, which perfectly match the restaurant's concept of a cozy home-like atmosphere. The restaurant is open from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with the kitchen closing at 1:45 PM. Note that they do not take table reservations, so you need to walk in.
