Take your dad up north to... Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan
.. It is a royal temple located on Phra Pok Klao Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.
.. It was built during the reign of King Saen Mueang Ma, King Rama VII of the Mangrai Dynasty. The exact year of construction is unknown. It is assumed that this temple was built between 1928 - 1945 and has been renovated in many eras.
.. At present, only half of the temple remains from the major earthquake during the reign of Mahadevi Chiraprapa, King Rama XV of the Mangrai Dynasty. It is assumed that the pagoda may be as high as 80 meters, making it the tallest pagoda in the North at that time.
