Wat Phra That Doi Kham

Wat Phra That Doi Kham, Chiang Mai Province
🙏🙏🙏This is an important ancient temple with a history of more than 1,300 years since the Hariphunchai period. It is the location of the Phra That Doi Kham pagoda, which contains the relics of the Lord Buddha. It is considered another sacred object of Chiang Mai where tourists and Buddhists continuously come to pay homage and pray.

🙏🙏🙏Inside the temple, there is the Phra That Doi Kham, the Sala Karn Parian, and two other important Buddha statues: Phra Rod Luang, a large gilded sandstone Buddha statue, and Phra Sam Mo, a clay Buddha statue excavated by villagers.

🙏🙏🙏Luang Pho Than Jai is a Buddha statue that took one day to build, so it has become a miracle and made the villagers believe that it is because of the Buddha's power and miracles. Therefore, the villagers believe that "Luang Pho Than Jai" is a Buddha statue that can grant blessings and success to those who pray for blessings immediately. Therefore, the origin of the name "Luang Pho Than Jai" is not because whatever you pray for will be granted immediately. But because it is a Buddha statue that was completed in 1 day
