Wat Duang Dee, a Beautiful Temple in Chiang Mai

Wat Duang Dee is a well-known and auspicious temple located in the heart of Chiang Mai, near the Three Kings Monument. It's a frequent feature of the Nine Temples worship activities.

It was also once a place of study for the children of nobles. Inside the temple is the nearly 200-year-old Ho Trai (Library of the Tripitaka), another historic site with a long history. Built in 1829 by Prince Maha Uparat Maha Wong, the interior walls feature inscriptions depicting the Vessantara Jataka, a story worth visiting. Inside the viharn is the Phra Duang Dee Buddha image, a principal Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture. A must-see for auspiciousness.

Address: 228 Phra Pok Klao Road, Si Phum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province
