The Bayu Stone Tomb Museum is located in Bayu Village, Bayu Township, Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. The Bayu Stone Tomb Museum was built on the original site of the stone tomb group, close to the north of the original site, facing south. The newly built stone tomb museum is magnificent, with high walls on all sides, making it even more mysterious.
A total of 22 large stone tombs were discovered in the Dali Bayu Li family stone tomb complex, and 11 of them were cleared and excavated. Judging from the excavations that have taken place, the tomb structure, scale and unearthed objects are of great value to the study of the politics, economy, bureaucracy and funeral culture of the Qing Dynasty society, especially its calligraphy, painting, stone carvings and stone inscriptions.
The stone tombs are located in the middle section of Shayuan, near the Weiluo River at the foot of Mount Hua in the Yellow River Basin, just 12 kilometers from Dali County. This area boasts fertile land and rich underground deposits. As early as the Qin and Han dynasties, this area was a place for the royal family to graze horses and raise deer, and was historically known as "Shayuan."
The warm temperate continental monsoon climate offers four distinct seasons and abundant sunshine, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
