Wat Pha Lat: An Ancient Temple Near the City

Wat Pha Lat is an ancient and historic temple 📍 located on Doi Suthep in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. If you're visiting Chiang Mai and want to pay respects to Buddha while admiring ancient architecture, this is a highly recommended spot. It's also on the same route as Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, so why not make a quick stop here? It's incredibly beautiful and very peaceful 🎐🍃. There's also a viewpoint where you can see the entire city of Chiang Mai. When I visited, there was a bit of fog, so the view was slightly obscured, but it had its own charm 💖.

🚙 Small cars can make the trip up as the road isn't too steep. I drove a Yaris with a 1200cc engine, and it managed just fine. For those who enjoy hiking 🚶🌳🍂, you can also trek to this temple. The trail isn't too far and is suitable for beginners. The path isn't very challenging, but you'll likely feel a bit winded by the time you reach the top—totally worth it though! 5555 (Thai for 'hahaha').
