Hidden Gem: Wat Phalat’s Tranquil Vibes & Waterfall Magic 🌿✨

Wat Phalat (Sakidagami) is seriously one of my fave spots in Chiang Mai! Every time I visit, this chill temple and stunning waterfall combo never disappoints. Just a quick 20-minute drive from Chiang Mai Old Town, Wat Phalat’s lush, green surroundings and laid-back vibes are 💯.

The temple itself is gorgeous, with mystical mossy stones scattered everywhere—some covered with coins left by visitors for good luck. The peaceful forest and ancient ruins make you feel like you stumbled on a secret place in the jungle. It’s sooo good for a break from the busy city!

Not to mention, the waterfall here is pure magic. The sound of the water and the fresh air just level up the meditation feels. You can even spot shady trees and classic Chiang Mai-style architecture straight out of a fairytale.

If you’re up for a little adventure, there’s a trekking trail through the woods that links up to the famous Monk’s Trail. I didn’t get a chance to try it this time, but it’s 100% on my list for next visit!

Address: Wat Phalat (Sakidagami), Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
Opening hours: Usually 7:00am–5:00pm (double-check on trip.com before you go!). No entrance fee.

Trust me, if you’re craving some good vibes, nature, and culture in Chiang Mai, Wat Phalat is where it’s at. It’s one of those places you’ll keep coming back to—so peaceful and pretty that pics just don’t do it justice!
