What are some of the places people often go to near the temple in Chiang Mai?

"Craft Market, Baan Kang Wat" in Chiang Mai (Art/Chill Edition) ✨
📍 Vibe & Location
🏡 A super chill art village: More than just a market, it's a community mall in a beautifully designed and warm Lanna-style wooden house.
📸 Tons of photo spots: Every corner is an art space! Perfect for content creators and a great backdrop for art photos (super aesthetic).
🎨 Special Favorites
- The atmosphere and lighting are so photogenic.
- I loved the Japanese-style mask painting activity, but I didn't try it because the crafts here are quite expensive and I didn't have the budget for it. I'll just admire it for now.
- I was inspired.
🖼️ Painting/Printmaking: There are a variety of art, paintings, handmade notebooks, handmade jewelry, and chic home decor items to choose from.
👩🎨 Workshops & Activities (Must-Do Activities)
🔨 DIY Paradise: A must-see highlight! There are tons of workshops to do.
Popular activities: Ceramic/clay painting, painting, candle making, and leather crafting. Prices start at around 1,500 baht. This is just for looking, not for doing anything (you can try your hand at creating your own artwork!)
💡 Some shops may charge around 10 baht to support the artists if you want to take photos.
🍦 Delicious food and desserts: There are small restaurants and homemade ice cream shops, but they're a bit pricey for us 😂🥹🥲
📅 Travel Tips (Pro-Tips)
⏰ Opening Hours: Most are open around 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (usually closed on Mondays).
☀️ Recommended time: Early morning is best, as it's not too hot. We went around 2:00 PM and were almost burned 🔥🔥🔥
🗓️ If you have time: Try to visit on a Sunday! Kad Bapao, a local market, is open with more shops and activities, making for an especially lively atmosphere!
