Wat Sri Suphan is located in the Wualai district of Chiang Mai Province. This area is famous for silverware making. Wat Sri Suphan is an ancient temple in Chiang Mai. It was built in 2043 during the reign of King Mueang Kaew. Later, when the original Ubosot was severely damaged, a new Ubosot was built in the Lanna style, made of silver and tin, using the skills and wisdom of local craftsmen who are famous for silverware.

Both the exterior and interior of the Ubosot are decorated with exquisite silverware and graceful patterns, reflecting the meticulousness and care of the creator. Inside is the principal Buddha image, "Phra Chao Chet Tue", a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude. The golden body contrasts with the silver of the Ubosot. This beauty comes from the silver craftsmen's determination to "Leave art to the land of Lanna Dedicated to Buddhism, honoring the King Rama IX"

Inside the temple, there is a statue of Ganesha, which is highly revered by craftsmen and devotees who come to pay homage. The temple is also a training center for silverware and jewelry handicrafts to preserve and pass on local wisdom in the Wualai area for interested tourists to visit and learn about the wisdom of silverware handicrafts of the villagers, which is a way to pass on the knowledge of silverware so that it does not disappear from Thailand.
