White Temple in Chiang Rai

Wat Rong Khun, more commonly known as the White Temple to foreigners, is a Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai with the most intricate architecture design I’ve ever seen on a temple. When I first entered the compound, I was awe struck by the majestic building in front of my eyes. It’s no wonder why this is Chiang Rai’s top visited attraction!

Some of the iconic elements of the temple are the Bridge of the Cycle of Rebirth, the Gate of Heaven, the Ubosot and the Golden Building. This temple was built and designed by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat as an offering to Buddha, in the hopes of granting him immortal life.
