Another Chiang Rai tourist attraction that stands out for its striking blue architecture is Wat Rong Suea Ten. Located on the banks of the Kok River on the eastern side of Chiang Rai Municipality, not far from the city center, this temple was once an abandoned temple for 80-100 years before being rebuilt in 2005. It measures 13 meters wide and 48 meters long.
The highlight of this temple is the stunning blue and gold color scheme, which creates a striking viharn that stands out from other temples. This contemporary Buddhist art reflects the Buddha's teachings. Inside the viharn is the pearl-white Phra Phuttha Ratchamongkhon Bodhi Trilokanath, measuring 5 meters wide and 6.5 meters high. 88,000 Phra Rod Lamphun amulets, along with numerous gems, silver, and gold items, are buried beneath this Buddha image.
This is another temple that is a must-see for anyone visiting Chiang Rai! Absolutely beautiful.
📌 Located in Rong Suea Ten Village, Rim Kok Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province.
