Huai Plakang Temple • Chiang Rai

Another Unseen temple in Chiang Rai Province that visitors must not miss is “Wat Huai Plakang”.

Wat Huai Plakang has a clear symbol, which is the large white “Guanyin” statue, 69 meters high, standing out prominently from afar. Originally, this temple was a monastery until July 24, 2009 when the National Office of Buddhism announced the appointment as Wat Huai Plakang, which is the current name.

There are 23 floors of Guanyin inside the statue. You can take the elevator to see the beautiful architecture. On floors 22-23, you can see a panoramic view outside.

You can also walk to the chapel on the side to pay respect to the Buddha statue inside and see the beauty of the chapel.
