Lingbao Pagoda, located on Lingyun Mountain in Leshan City, is a landmark of the ancient city. Its towering, majestic and elegant structure, beautifully complemented by the Diyan Daijiu Peak and the Three Rivers, makes it a landmark ancient structure in Leshan. Built during the Tang Dynasty, Lingbao Pagoda is named after the mountain on which it sits.
Each level of the Lingbao Pagoda features windows, allowing for natural light and allowing visitors to ascend to the summit and gaze out at the surrounding beautiful mountains and waters. Some ancient pagodas contain Buddhist relics, and legend has it that the ashes of Master Hai Tong are interred within the Lingbao Pagoda. The Lingbao Pagoda is a landmark of the ancient city of Leshan and a key cultural relic protection site in Sichuan Province.
