Approximately 20 minutes by car northwest from Chiang Rai city center. Head north on Route 1, then west on Route 131, and turn right onto Wat Huay Pla Kang Road in the Mae Yao area.

Located on a small hill about 7 km away from Chiang Rai city center, this temple is famous for its strikingly large pure white Guan Yin statue, visible even from afar. You can take an elevator inside the statue for 40 THB. The nine-tiered pagoda, blending Lanna style with Chinese culture, can be explored via stairs. Both offer spectacular views.

Not only are the views and architecture impressive, but the temple also contributes greatly to the local community. ☺️🙏
