Located south of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Square in Nanjing's Xuanwu District, the Music Stage was built in August 1933 and was primarily used for musical performances and speeches during ceremonies commemorating Dr. Sun Yat-sen. It has been selected as a "20th-Century Architectural Heritage of China."
The architectural layout, a first for its kind in my country, is semicircular, with the stage at its center, covering nearly 250 square meters. Behind the stage stands a large curved screen wall, 11.3 meters high and 16.7 meters wide, clad in cement and artificial stone, to channel the sound waves. In front of the stage lies a crescent-shaped lotus pond with a hidden spring at its bottom. In front of the pond is a semicircular lawn, providing seating for the audience to enjoy the performances and dances, accommodating up to 3,000 spectators.
The music stand is surrounded by green grass, shaded by weeping willows and towering poplars. There are many white pigeons in the music stand, and you can buy feed at the music stand to feed these lovely elves.
Subtropical monsoon climate, suitable for travel all year round
