📍.. Wat Phra Kaew is a historically significant temple in Chiang Rai Province, but there is no record of its construction history.

🗒️.. Originally named Wat Pa Ya or Wat Pa Yia (written in Pali as Nyarakkhwanaram) because there were many Yia trees growing inside the original temple, which are native bamboo species.

📒.. The temple's ordination hall is in the Chiang Saen style, with a low base and a low sloping roof. Inside is the principal Buddha image, Phra Chao Lan Thong.

📸.. Phra Chao Lan Thong is a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, sitting cross-legged. It is considered the largest and most beautiful Buddha image in the Pala art style in Thailand.
