Phra That Pha Ngao is situated on a large rock. The term 'Pha Ngao' means the shadow of the rock. This large rock is shaped like a pagoda, and when the sun shines through it, it creates a large shadow. Therefore, the locals call it Phra That Pha Ngao. It also features the longest skywalk in the northern region.
