Who says Chiayi only has chicken rice? This time, I stumbled upon a hidden gem in the city—"Showa 18 J18"!

Formerly the Chiayi City Historical Museum, it's now a stunning photo spot that blends history, coffee, and cultural and creative products.

As soon as you step into the park, you're struck by the rich Japanese charm of the Showa era. The ancient wooden roofs, the tranquil tatami mats, and the light-dappled, old windows—every corner is breathtakingly beautiful.

This isn't just a photo spot; it's a relaxing retreat for the soul. We ordered our meals and ate while watching the sunlight stream in. We felt warm and cozy, as if we'd truly been transported back to that elegant era.

The park may not be large, but it packs a punch. Best of all, it's a truly magical place to escape the summer heat! You need a ticket to enter the park, but it's worth using your ticket price to buy something special, whether it's a drink, cultural goods, or even renting a kimono for photos. It's a great value.
