Explore Chiayi's exotic cuisine: The King's Cuisine

This is one of the few places in Chiayi that specializes in Indian cuisine. The restaurant is small, so reservations are required. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant, which is relatively convenient. The Indian food here has been refined, with a slightly lighter spice profile. It's not quite as authentic as the ones I had in Beijing! There aren't many seats, so I ordered a few of their must-try dishes. The Punjabi lamb curry was a roux-style curry with a nice balance of fat and lean lamb, and the mutton's tanginess was barely noticeable. It also came with some potato wedges drizzled with light cream. It wasn't very spicy. The Indian lamb rolls didn't taste like much meat; they were just fried diced lamb and vegetables. It was pretty average, not recommended! The Indian red sauce fried chicken was very similar to Korean fried chicken, with the chicken coated in tomato sauce. The taste was just average. The butter naan was quite good! Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fried turmeric rice was Indian, with a strong turmeric flavor. The Indian milk tea was quite authentic, and the Indian rice pudding was similar to what I've had at Indian restaurants in Beijing. The desserts and drinks were also quite good, with adjustments to local Taiwanese tastes. It wasn't too spicy or strong, and it was okay for a Chiayi local! #ChiayiFood #Chiayi #IndianCooking #ExoticStyle #ExoticCooking
