The trail network within the Alishan Forest Recreation Area is another highlight that immerses people in nature. I walked slowly along the 'Giant Tree Trail,' where you can see spectacular thousand-year-old sacred trees along the way. The air is full of rich phytoncide, and taking a deep breath seems to completely release the stress of urban life. Along the way, we also passed the Sister Ponds, where the emerald green water is as calm as a mirror, surrounded by dense forests, creating a poetic and tranquil scenery.

Alishan's high mountain tea is renowned far and wide. I specially visited a local tea house to taste freshly brewed Alishan high mountain oolong tea. The tea aroma is rich and sweet, and a sip not only leaves a lingering taste but also makes one feel the dedication of the tea farmers. Additionally, with the introduction of the tea house owner, I learned about the tea planting process and the local cultural background, adding depth and interest to the journey.

During this autumn visit, the scenery was adorned with red and yellow leaves, and the layered mountains looked like a splendid oil painting.
