🏮 Fenchihu Old Street, located in Zhuqi Township, Chiayi County, sits at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters. It serves as a stop on the Alishan Forest Railway and boasts a century-old history. It's named for its dustpan-like topography, which is surrounded by mountains on three sides ("hu" means "low-lying area" in the Hokkien dialect). The approximately 500-meter-long old street features stone steps, red brick buildings, and traditional shops, blending forestry culture with the atmosphere of a mountain town.

Fenchihu is famous for its "Fenchihu Bento," tin-boxed offerings of nostalgic flavors like braised pork ribs and dried bamboo shoots, inspired by the railway's supply needs. Other local specialties include Alishan high mountain tea, aiyu jelly, and donuts. Nearby attractions include Fenchihu Station, the Fir Forest Boardwalk, and the square bamboo forest, where the mist-shrouded scenery adds to the poetic beauty.
