Popular snacks around Fenqihu Station

Fenqihu is a stopping point for most travellers on the way to Alishan and normally spend a few hours exploring the old street area. There are also a number of trails around that you can explore which are really nice and quiet, then grab a couple of popular snacks after you've worked up an appetite.

1. 奮起湖現烤甜甜圈.百年檜木甜甜圈 - Donuts are crispy outside and soft inside, heard the queues can get very long but was very lucky with no queue on a rainy day.
2.薰衣草森林販售處 - It's a little shop located within the lomotive shed/museum that is right at the end of the Fenchihu Station tracks. They only sell coffee and ice cream, the oolong ice cream was creamy and good.
3. 街仔尾阿嬤草仔粿 - There are both salty and sweet varieties of this snack, it's up to you to choose your favorite one. I tried the traditional one which is savory, it has a chewy outer skin and stuffed with ingredients.
