Phra That Si Chom Thong, the chedi for people born in the Year of the Rat.

Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong has been a sacred place of Chiang Mai since 1995. The highlight here is the Phra Chedi Si Chom Thong, a golden pagoda that is the identity of Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong. It was built in Lanna art. When I visited today (January 2568), it was under renovation. The pagoda is considered a great merit-making period when tourists have the opportunity to make merit, help maintain Buddhism, and restore the pagoda to its original beauty. Inside the temple, there is also a museum building that collects the history of Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong. There are many antiques and beautiful old amulets on display for you to see. There is also a sermon hall, a Buddhist school, and a meditation center. Since Phra That Si Chom Thong is the sacred place for people born in the year of the Rat, there are many rat dolls surrounding it as a symbol.

Admission is free. Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Coordinates: Village No. 2, Chiang Mai-Hot Road, Ban Luang Subdistrict, Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province
