Chongqing Eling Second Factory Cultural and Creative Park

Eling No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park is located at No. 1, Eling Zhengjie, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. The predecessor of the park was built in 1937. It is located at the highest point of Chongqing Yuzhong Peninsula, where you can see the scenery of the Yangtze River and Jialing River at the same time. Near the Erchang are attractions such as the Liziba Anti-Japanese War Relics Park, General Stilwell's Former Residence, and the Liziba Metro Station. It is a new trendy landmark in Chengdu and Chongqing.
The predecessor of Chongqing No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park was the related buildings of the Central Bank Printing Factory established in 1937. The Central Bank Printing Factory was specialized in printing banknotes, tax stamps, stamps and other securities and government documents. In 1953, it officially became Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2. It was once the color printing center of Chongqing and the color printing giant of the southwestern printing industry.
From the 1950s to the 1970s, almost all the colored paper in the Chongqing market was printed here. Decades have passed, and the former Printing Factory No. 2 has long since closed down. It is now called the "Factory No. 2 Cultural and Creative Park."
The idea of the No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park originated from a group of creators in art, design, planning, branding and media who gathered here. They were deeply attracted by the cultural traces accumulated over seventy years, and came up with the plan to revive the No. 2 Factory through cultural and creative industries.
Eling Park, which is adjacent to the Erchang Cultural and Creative Park, is located at the highest point of the Chongqing Peninsula. Climbing up the building and looking out into the distance, you can have a panoramic view of the two rivers. If you watch the sea of lights in the evening, it will be an even more special experience. Walking into an old factory building of Eling No. 2 Factory and seeing the stone stairs that have been trampled on for many years and the handrails with peeling paint, it is easy to be pulled back to more than ten years ago, just like going back to the time when you were in school and had to go up and down the stairs every day. Every corner of Factory No. 2 is very suitable for taking outdoor photos.
