Chongqing, a city that punishes those who don't exercise.

As someone who's overweight and doesn't like to exercise, Chongqing really isn't the ideal city to visit. The mountainous terrain requires constant uphill and downhill walking, with slopes and stairs everywhere. After two days here, I've walked 25,000 steps each day, leaving my calves aching.
Before my trip, I did a lot of research online and planned what I thought was a very reasonable itinerary. I never imagined it would be so hard on my legs and feet.
Day 1: Laojun Cave (took a taxi directly to the west gate) - Huangjueya Old Street - Sanmao's Former Residence - Huangge Ancient Road - Dunhoupo Old Street - Shangxin Street - Chongqing Opening Port Site Park - Longmenhao - Xiahaoli - Hong'en Temple Park - Hongyadong night view. This day's 25,000 steps left my calves sore. Actually, some places are just for quick photo ops and don't require much exploration. They're mostly commercial streets selling similar things, with similar architectural styles. There are some popular photo spots in Xiahaoli that require waiting in line for at least half an hour, but since I was already there, I patiently waited for my turn to take pictures.
