Wulong Karst Landscape – A Cinematic Day in Nature

I joined a day tour to Wulong from Chongqing to make the journey fuss-free, and it was absolutely worth it. Wulong’s dramatic karst landscape is unlike anything I’ve seen — towering stone bridges, lush cliffs, and deep gorges that feel straight out of a fantasy world. In fact, parts of “Transformers: Age of Extinction” and other films were shot here, and it’s easy to see why.
The Three Natural Bridges (天生三桥) were breathtaking, with massive stone arches spanning steep valleys. The nearby Longshuixia Fissure Gorge (地缝) offered an immersive hike through a misty, narrow canyon lined with waterfalls and moss-covered rocks.
The path was wet and slippery, so I was really glad I wore shoes with good grip. Also, don’t forget an umbrella or raincoat — the weather changes fast and can catch you off guard.
Food in the area in expensive and not that great so bring snacks. Toilets there so have water point and water dispensers. #wulong #wulongkarst
