Khalvat-e Karimkhani, Golestan Palace 🌿🪨 is one of the most peaceful corners of the royal complex — a small pavilion built for rest and retreat by the Qajar kings. Unlike the dazzling mirror halls, this space is quiet, shaded, and intimate. A marble platform, gentle water streams, and delicate tilework make it feel like a royal garden hideaway.
It’s said that Naser al-Din Shah used to sit here smoking his qalyan (water pipe), watching over the courtyard in silence. Later, Reza Shah Pahlavi’s body briefly rested here before burial — giving the spot both royal serenity and historical weight.
