Ciqikou 🌶️ 🥵

As night fell over Ciqikou, the heat of the day gave way to a different kind of warmth the kind that rose from bubbling pots and chili oil. Hotpot Street came alive with flashing neon signs, clinking chopsticks, and the irresistible aroma of peppercorn and beef fat. We picked a spot among the crowd, seated beneath glowing lanterns, and dunked thin slices of meat into the boiling red broth as sweat and laughter filled the air. 🍖🌶️🍺

Fans spun overhead, doing little against the summer spice, but it didn’t matter that fiery heat was exactly why we came. Locals chatted over lotus root and duck blood, vendors called out tempting deals, and every bite left a tingle on the lips and a memory in the heart. On Ciqikou Hotpot Street, summer was spicy, loud, and absolutely unforgettable. 🔥🍢🎊
