This is Chongqing’s national destination, with wooden architecture layered on top of the cliff, facing the river. It’s normal during the day, but it’s really stunning at night – red lanterns light up a corner of the city.

Located right next to the river, you can walk and enjoy the scenery.

From the overpass next to it, you can see the whole view of Hongya Dong sparkling in the lights.

🍲 Dinner with a million-dollar view
I chose to eat at 添富贵九宫格火锅, located right next to Hongya Dong. Sitting in the restaurant, dipping in the spicy hotpot while looking straight out at the Hong Nhai Dong lit up - the feeling is truly "Chongqing".

Price: quite affordable, not ripping off tourists.

• Food: fresh, hotpot broth with a characteristic spicy taste, diverse toppings.

• Space: airy, view looking straight out at the sparkling night scene.

💯 Really recommend this restaurant for those who want to eat well - reasonable price - beautiful view.

• Should come around sunset → evening to see the changing colors and have sparkling photos.

• Remember to have an empty stomach to enjoy the original Chongqing spicy hotpot.
