Chuncheon Jukhyang
Jukhyang, a Chinese restaurant located between the Engineering Building and the Education Building side gates of Kangwon National University, is a unique and different restaurant. It's almost like a restaurant that brings a sense of tension to the otherwise relaxed Chinese restaurant scene.

The menu is similar to other restaurants, with dishes like jjajangmyeon, jjambbong, and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). However, the prices are incredibly good.

Perhaps it's because it's located near a university, but jjambbong is ₩6,000, jjajangmyeon is ₩5,000, and fried rice is ₩6,000. It's hard to find prices like these anywhere else these days. Tangsuyuk is ₩13,000.

I only had photos of Jjamppong, but if I post other dishes in the future, I'll post them in Part 2. As you can see in Photo 4, the Jjamppong portion is enormous. Jukhyang is not only about the taste and the price, but the real deal is the portion.

The portion is incredibly generous. I first visited Jukhyang when I was a freshman in college, and it was even bigger than that. The fried rice was a mountainous portion, and the sweet and sour pork was... well, more than enough to fill a whole watermelon. That's how much the portions have shrunk.

Quality
That doesn't mean the food quality is lacking. The Jjajangmyeon has plenty of meat, onions, and soybean paste, and the Jjamppong is generously filled with shrimp, meat, clam balls, wood ear mushrooms, onions, bamboo shoots, and clam meat.

This makes it a well-known, value-for-money restaurant in Chuncheon. While many college students frequent the restaurant, many families also visit. -------
Hours of Operation
This is the most important. They open at 10:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. They close quite early, so you'll need to plan your visit accordingly.

Also, they don't offer delivery, so you'll need to go there and eat in person. These are the only two things to keep in mind.
