The niche Northern Dynasties Archaeological Museum

The Northern Dynasties Archaeological Museum located in Ci County, Handan is the only niche museum in China that tells the history of the Northern Dynasties. The Northern Dynasties is not an independent dynasty. It is the collective name for the Northern Wei, Eastern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Qi, and Northern Five dynasties that were established, defeated, and replaced by northern minorities north of the Yellow River at that time. The total period was less than 200 years. During this period, northern ethnic minorities migrated to the Central Plains in large numbers, fighting, killing, and making peace with each other.
The main collection of the museum is the unearthed cultural relics located in the tombs of the Northern and Southern Dynasties in Ci County, which can provide a glimpse into the daily life of the royal nobles in this land 1,500 years ago. Walking out of the museum, the once bloody, glitzy and extravagant place has finally returned to silence as the sun sets in the west.
