[Yufuin] Local chicken dishes that require a line

Tsukahara no Sato is a local chicken restaurant in Yufu.
We went outside peak hours, but there was still a line at this popular restaurant.
We waited quite a while, so it might be a good idea to go at opening time.

The restaurant is built like an old Japanese house, with a relaxing atmosphere, and we recommend a seat by the window.

You can choose from a local chicken set meal, a Bungo beef set meal, or an a la carte menu.
The most popular is of course the local chicken set meal.
You put the local chicken on binchotan charcoal and grill it yourself.
You roll the fresh meat around until the red meat disappears and it's ready to eat. Be careful not to overcook it.

Side dishes such as seared local chicken and vinegared chicken skin were also excellent.
To finish off the rice, they also serve Bakkei miso. It is lightly grilled over charcoal.
