Sintra Pena Palace (Palácio Nacional da Pena) was built on the ruins of a monastery destroyed by the 1755 earthquake.
In 1839, King Ferdinand II reconstructed it on the original site as a summer palace for the royal family.

【Tips】
The garden ticket allows access to all outdoor areas except the palace interior, which is not particularly noteworthy.
If you only want the garden ticket, you can purchase it at the self-service ticket machines at the Pena Palace entrance. No need to queue; buy and enter immediately.
For palace interior visits, it’s best to buy tickets online in advance. The official website only sells the garden + palace interior combo ticket. Choose your date and time when purchasing, and enter accordingly. Tickets purchased 3 days in advance enjoy a 15% discount.
The walk from the ticket office to the palace takes about 10 minutes, and even seniors aged 70+ can manage it easily.
Cabo da Roca
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of Portugal and the entire Eurasian continent.
The phrase "Where the land ends and the sea begins" (Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa) originates here.

📍Outbound: Lisbon - Pena Palace - Cabo da Roca
Take a Bolt ride from Lisbon to the ticket office at Pena Palace (location: entrada de Palacio da Pena), approximately €20.
📍Return: From Cabo da Roca to Cascais, taxis are hard to find. Take a bus to the train station. The train station is about a 5-minute walk from the town center pedestrian street. After lunch, take the train back to Lisbon.
【Tips】
This trip can be entirely done using public transportation, as buses connect all the attractions.
