If you're looking for a seaside destination that offers tranquility, stunning natural beauty, and fewer crowds, I highly recommend Son Tra Marina in Da Nang, Vietnam. This is one of the newest check-in spots in this coastal city, featuring panoramic ocean views, crystal-clear waters, mountain scenery, and a relaxing atmosphere—perfect for a true getaway.

For this trip, we spent 3 days and 2 nights with a budget of approximately 5,000–7,000 THB per person (excluding round-trip airfare from Thailand). Here's a rough breakdown of the expenses:

Accommodation: We chose a small hotel near the beach in a quiet area, costing about 800 THB per night. For 2 nights, the total was around 1,600 THB.
Transportation within Da Nang: Renting a motorbike costs about 200 THB per day, or you can conveniently use Grab. Total transportation costs were around 600 THB.
Entrance to Son Tra Marina: There's no entrance fee, but if you want to take a boat ride or rent a yacht to enjoy the sea views, additional costs range from 200–500 THB.
Food: Vietnamese food is quite affordable. A good meal costs about 100–200 THB, totaling around 1,200 THB for the entire trip.
Souvenirs/Miscellaneous expenses: Approximately 1,000 THB.

Upon arriving at Son Tra Marina, the first thing that impressed us was the serene atmosphere and the expansive ocean views. The marina features a long pier extending into the sea, surrounded by lush green mountains and fresh air. It's an ideal spot to relax, enjoy a light coffee, or take photos. The lighting during the morning or evening is especially soft, ensuring beautiful pictures.

Activities here include boat rides, snorkeling, or simply strolling along the shore, which is equally enjoyable. Additionally, it's not far from Son Tra Mountain, where you can ride up to enjoy panoramic views of Da Nang.

Overall, this trip was "less is more." It didn't require a big budget, but the experience was immensely rewarding. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle and are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and relatively undiscovered destination, Son Tra Marina is a hidden gem you shouldn't miss when visiting Da Nang.
