Kushiro, a place rarely visited by domestic Hokkaido tourists, is a gem of a café I discovered and would like to share with you.
Run by an elderly gentleman with a jazz hobby, this second-floor café boasts a stylish, modern interior and comfortable seating. Upon entering, you'll immediately notice a cat sleeping on a giant grand piano. It's not only incredibly cute, but also quite charming. The coffee, brewed by the owner himself, is incredibly delicious, and the jazz music is truly captivating. I stopped by here right before heading to Haneda via Kushiro, and I was truly impressed. Kushiro might be known for its robatayaki (grilled beef) and seafood, but if you're in the area, be sure to stop by this cafe and enjoy both jazz and cats. Highly recommended!!!
