This is a place where you can learn about Daegu's modern history and enjoy a space where the buildings and streetscapes where people lived back then are recreated.
✔︎Hyangchon Cultural Center
✔︎Daegu Cultural Center
This renovated building, originally Daegu's first bank, occupies the basement and second floors of the Hyangchon Cultural Center.
Floors 3 and 4 are the Daegu Cultural Center.
Pay your admission fee on the first floor.
Costumes are available right at the first-floor entrance.
You can try on old uniforms and police uniforms and explore the first and second floors.
When you enter through the first-floor entrance...
Wow...!
You'll instantly be transported to a nostalgic atmosphere! 😳
The scenery and buildings of Jungang-ro and Bukchon-ro in Daegu from the 1960s are recreated.
Movie theaters, record stores, bars, coffee shops...
Each one is meticulously crafted, and when you enter, you can hear music playing and people talking...
It's like you've traveled back in time!
It's like peering into how people who lived in Daegu back then worked and enjoyed themselves...
It's as if you're actually there...
This is the kind of experience you can have.
There are plenty of photo spots, so it would be fun to walk around wearing borrowed costumes and take photos while doing so. 😊
On the 3rd and 4th floors, there was an exhibition.
There are also seminar rooms and other programs, with regular programs.
It's very close to Jungangno Station, so you can combine your shopping and cafe-hopping with a visit. ♡
If you turn left from the building toward Bukseongno, you'll find many stylish cafes...
You can enjoy cafe-hopping and cultural experiences in this area. ^^
