Samgyetang is a popular Korean dish.
It's actually a popular summer food. ☀️

Just like how Japan eats eel on Doyo no Ushi no Hi (Day of the Ox) to build stamina,
in Korea, we eat samgyetang on Bongnal (Day of the Ox) to build stamina. ✊

This time, I tried a slightly different kind of samgyetang. ☺️

Even though I went at 2 PM on a Saturday, there were a lot of people there. 😮

I ordered nurungji samgyetang, which is samgyetang with burnt rice. 🐓
The meat was tender,
and the nurungji was fragrant and delicious. 💓

The other dish was mung bean samgyetang!
It was packed with lots of beans! 🫘
