On the spring flower viewing journey from south to north, if you look slightly southwest of the country, you will find a stretch of rhododendron sea that you cannot miss. This is the Baili Rhododendron Sea in Bijie, Guizhou.
Every year in late March, the sea of rhododendrons here gradually enters its heyday, becoming a very beautiful area in Guizhou. Rhododendron is a widely distributed and very distinctive flower species in our country, and this large-scale sea of flowers in Bijie is a very important azalea concentration area.
I tried to collect as many scenes of the sea of flowers as possible. Although I visited many corners, it was always difficult to encounter amazing weather conditions. However, I was still amazed by the sea of flowers that I had chased for more than three thousand miles.
The photo was taken at Baili Rhododendron in Bijie, Guizhou (Pudi Scenic Area and Jinpo Scenic Area).
Some tips for photographing Bijie Baili Rhododendron:
1. Bijie Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Guizhou Province, at the junction of Dafang County and Qianxi County of Bijie City. It is the largest rhododendron scenic area in China. The scenic area is named after the original rhododendron forest belt that stretches for 125.8 square kilometers. Rhododendrons bloom in full bloom, forming a sea of flowers.
2. The flowers gradually enter the peak flowering period from mid-to-late March each year (there will be slight deviations each year due to weather reasons. From mid-March, the flowers will bloom in large areas after a continuous period of warm and sunny days). You need to pay attention to the weather conditions;
3. Baili Dujuan includes several sub-scenic areas, including Pudi Scenic Area, Jinpo Scenic Area, Dujuanhuawang Scenic Area, Jiamu Scenic Area, etc. Among them, the first two are the most popular. Generally speaking, public transportation between the main scenic areas is relatively convenient. Except for a small amount of queues during peak hours, the overall situation is relatively coherent;
4. Scenic spot peak season ticket policy (March 10 to April 21)
The general admission ticket for Pudi Scenic Area, Jinpo Scenic Area, Dujuanhuawang Scenic Area and Jiamu Scenic Area is 130 yuan per ticket; the sightseeing bus ticket is 70 yuan per ticket (Pudi and Jinpo Scenic Areas), and the ride is free within 3 days after the first ticket inspection;
5. The scenic spot may ban the flying of drones during the peak season, but overall it is still relatively friendly to creators. You can pay attention to the ticket policy at the entrance of the scenic spot, communicate with the ticket office to provide your self-media account information, Photographers Association membership certificate, etc., and you will most likely get certain discounts and conveniences.
