Jiudongtian Scenic Area is located at the intersection of Dafang and Nayong counties in Bijie City, Guizhou Province, at the source of the Wujiang River—the Liuchong River Basin Karst area. Covering a total area of 145 square kilometers, the scenic area is divided into three main sections: Jiudongtian Yundongtian Scenic Area, Tizi Rock Layer Scenic Area, and Zongxi River Green Corridor Scenic Area. The core attraction is the Jiudongtian Yundongtian Scenic Area.
The underground river in the scenic area has created nine large skylights along a 2-kilometer stretch, forming a spectacular karst landscape that combines underground rivers, caves, skylights, sinkholes, natural bridges, canyons, and waterfalls. It’s a mesmerizing blend of water, caves, and sky, with nine hidden and nine visible wonders.
Jiudongtian is currently the most densely packed cluster of skylights and sinkholes discovered in the province. It is also the tallest karst cave group that can be explored by boat, making it an absolute must-visit destination. The scenery is truly breathtaking!
