I found my ideal secluded guesthouse in Dali Old Town.

It rained all day on the day I checked in.🌧️
Turning in from the bustling old town, it was especially quiet.
A traditional Chinese courtyard with dark wooden tiled houses.
Bai ethnic murals highlight the characteristics of Dali.

The room is a duplex loft with air conditioning on both floors.
The view from the second floor is particularly good, with greenery visible from the window.
The osmanthus tree in the courtyard is growing well, lush and green.
Watching the rain outside the window fall on the osmanthus leaves,
then slide down the eaves and onto the bluestone slabs of the courtyard.
You can take stunning Chinese-style photos by the window without even stepping outside.
I never thought rainy Dali could be so beautiful.
Drinking warm flower tea, eating preserved fruit, taking a bath.🛁
Listening to the rain and enjoying the slow pace of Dali.

The next day, it was sunny.☀️
The courtyard showed another kind of beauty.
Opening the curtains, the sun was shining brightly, and birds were chirping outside.
Having breakfast in the courtyard in the sun, the kitten stretched and asked for a hug.
Lying under the osmanthus tree, I didn't want to go out, just sitting and drinking tea.
