Seaside swings, white sandy beaches, fields of gesang flowers... all the scenery you love is here

This time, I’m sharing a lesser-known seaside spot I recently visited, featuring vast flower fields, white sandy beaches, healing swings, and a unique perspective to admire the Fisherman’s Wharf across the shore.
📍 Dalian Kangtai Home, Hutan Bay Changshou Community
Driving is more convenient. Just keep driving straight along the road without hesitation; there will be parking at the end. If taking the subway, take Line 5 to Hutan New District Exit C, then walk about half an hour to reach the spot.
As you get close, you’ll see the sea and a large field of gesang flowers on the right side. There’s also another small path that leads directly down to the beach. On the day I visited, it was open for free; after parking, you can enter directly through the gate at the guard post.
This is a high-end retirement community, and I have to say they really know how to choose a location. This entire coastal area is both tranquil and comfortable, with perfect scenery all around.
Facing you is a very photogenic stamp frame, and inside the frame is the iconic red lighthouse.
Next to it is a large field of gesang flowers, growing wildly on a clearing backed by green mountains and facing the sea. With flowers and the sea as the background, even taking photos by the roadside looks beautiful.
Walking further along the coast, you’ll pass a long corridor with a small artificial white sandy beach beside it. The fine sand sparkles under the sunlight, just as dazzling as the shimmering sea.
This pure white little beach is like a natural reflector, perfect for portrait photography. When shooting straight on, the background includes the lighthouse, mountains, and the distant city; from above, you get a very clean color palette and composition. Changing direction to follow the light creates a different scene, with so much green it almost makes you forget it’s already autumn.
On the seaside lawn, there are some haystacks, giving the area a strong autumn vibe. The whole place is bathed in warm Maillard tones, and the various pumpkins scattered around are great photo props—you can hold them or place them on your head for cute shots. Just remember to put them back after shooting.
Further in is the seaside swing that many people have checked in at, a peaceful and healing scene. Sitting here swinging might just make all your worries disappear—provided the sea breeze isn’t too strong that day, haha. Slightly changing your angle lets you frame the lighthouse together; if the sunflowers behind are in full bloom, it would be even more beautiful.
At the very end, there’s another flower patch where you can keep shooting all the way to the sea. As the light gradually dimmed, I pressed the shutter for the last few shots of the day, bidding farewell amidst the swaying flowers.
