🏔️Journey to a Pure Land on Earth | A Complete Guide to Daocheng Yading

If you could only visit one distant place in your lifetime, it would have to be Daocheng Yading, the last pure land on the blue planet. 🌍

📍Basic Information:
Daocheng Yading is located in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Entrance fees to the scenic area are 146 yuan (peak season, April 15th - November 19th), and 120 yuan in off-season. A sightseeing bus ticket is also a must-buy, 120 yuan per person.

🚗Transportation:

• Plane: Fly directly to Daocheng Yading Airport, but you'll be at a high altitude right after landing, making altitude sickness a common hazard.

• Self-Driving: Starting from Chengdu, the scenery along the way is beautiful and allows for gradual acclimatization, but the journey takes a while.

• Bus: Direct buses run from Chengdu Xinnanmen Station. The price is affordable, but the journey is long.

🏔️Must-see attractions:

• Milk Lake: At 4,600 meters above sea level, it resembles a blue gem set among snow-capped mountains. The round-trip hike takes 6-8 hours. Those with less energy can choose to ride horses to Sheshen Cliff and then hike again.

• Five-Color Lake: Located next to Milk Lake, the water reflects different colors with the sunlight, creating a breathtaking sight.

• Luolong Cattle Farm: Surrounded by three sacred mountains, it offers a breathtaking scenery of meadows, streams, and snow-capped mountains. You can also spot adorable blue sheep.

• Chonggu Temple: A historic Tibetan Buddhist temple with distinctive architecture, offering stunning views of the Xiannairi Snow Mountain.

• Pearl Lake: Very close to Chonggu Temple, it's a great spot to photograph the reflection of the Xiannairi Snow Mountain.

💡Practical tips:
Drink Rhodiola rosea a week in advance to prevent altitude sickness. Bring oxygen tanks and glucose. Food is expensive in the scenic area, so bring some high-calorie foods. The temperature fluctuates greatly between day and night, so bring warm clothing and waterproof, non-slip hiking shoes.
