Exquisite Dim Sum Recommendations in Causeway Bay

This time I came to Star Sea Club for lunch, specifically to try their Chinese dim sum, and it definitely did not disappoint. Handmade, each item is made with real ingredients. The restaurant is bright and clean, with spacious seating, making it very comfortable to chat and eat with friends. The decor is also very luxurious, especially the staircase area, which is truly a great spot for photos.

Exquisite Birdcage Dim Sum
The presentation is really exquisite, with the birdcage design showing great thought. The dim sum varieties include shrimp dumplings, siu mai, fish puff buns, swan puffs, phoenix eye dumplings, and pumpkin balls. Each piece is small, allowing you to try different flavors. I especially liked the swan puffs and pumpkin balls. The swan puffs have shredded radish inside, which tastes sweet and has a nice texture, while the pumpkin balls are filled with my favorite custard filling. Pumpkin and custard go perfectly together, with a sweet taste.

Nanxiang Soup Dumplings
The soup dumplings have thin skin and are very juicy. When you bite into them, the soup bursts out, fresh and sweet but not greasy. They are delicious on their own, and dipping them in vinegar makes them even more flavorful.

XO Sauce Fried Rice Noodle Rolls (Claypot)
Definitely the MVP of this meal. The rice noodle rolls are stir-fried with a nice wok hei flavor, and the XO sauce is fragrant, spicy, and tasty, with bits of dried shrimp and scallop flakes. The flavor is rich and layered, and the rice noodle rolls are smooth and silky. Both the texture and taste are excellent.

Mini Dried Shrimp Pearl Chicken (2 pieces)
The pearl chicken pieces are small but packed with filling. The glutinous rice is soft and sticky, with dried shrimp, chicken, and shiitake mushrooms inside, giving it a very rich and fragrant flavor.

Signature Peppery Chicken Soup Dumplings
The soup dumplings have thin skin and delicious filling. When bitten into, the rich pepper chicken soup flows out, warming the stomach. The soup base has a strong pepper flavor but is not too spicy, and the chicken filling is fresh and tender, with great depth of flavor.
