The Last Shangri-La at "Yading" in China (Short Route)

The autumn foliage season is back again (October 21, 2025).
Day 1: A relaxed start, warming up for the short route hike in the park.
(Tip: Book accommodation near the park entrance to avoid waking up too early.)
Route: Bus boarding point - Chonggu Monastery - Pearl Lake (elevation 4,080 meters). The round trip distance is about 3 kilometers. (Prepare for tired legs as the path includes metal stairs. ❌ No trekking poles needed ❌ No hiking boots required ✅ A good pair of sneakers will do.)
The vibrant autumn foliage is stunning, with the highlight being Pearl Lake. You can bring heated meals from outside to enjoy here. There are seating areas and food stalls available, but the prices are 3-4 times higher than outside.
